It was an innovative design involving many different aspects of construction, the envelope of the building involved many construction methods including dry stone walling, random rubble stone walling, coursed stone walling, brickwork, render and timber frame. The roof was constructed with both flat and pitched areas with some of the pitched areas being living roof as well as trafficked balcony areas in some locations.
The levels of finish internally were exceptionally high with almost all rooms including bespoke furniture and finishes. In order to provide better Client satisfaction we worked with our suppliers to provide the Client with 3D renders of each location prior to commencement to give them a better feel for what they were getting, when Clients do not have a construction background it is difficult for them to properly picture the end results from standard construction drawings.
The external works have been very much planned around the family with finishes being chosen for their longevity and safety, the garden area includes everything to enable children of all ages to play safely and briefly includes a 3G football pitch, netball court, climbing frame and trampolining area. All areas have been designed to provide a safe environment.
Everyone involved in this project has taken a great pride in being able to provide our Client a great family home which mixes the most cutting edge technologies with some of the most traditional forms of construction, the scheme has been delivered to the highest standards and provided a high level of both customer satisfaction and pride from the team involved.
“PLP worked as an excellent member of the team, worked closely and considerately with the client in a very open and transparent manner. Quality and attention to detail in construction was first class.”
